After completing his BFA in film/video at the Rhode Island School of Design, David

Kelley directed and produced a documentary film, “The Light of Ronchamp,” about architect LeCorbusier’s Chapel in Ronchamp, France. His varied career also includes directing over 50 commercials, music videos for artists such as Kristin Hersh and Throwing Muses, freelancing as art director in branding marketing and identity. David’s spot for Steve Madden, ”Chick Walker,” (as seen in Martin Scorsese's “The Wolf of Wall Street”) was honored for direction and animation by the prestigious AICP, and is on permanent collection at The Museum of Modern Art.

He was awarded finalist in First Boards Awards, “Best New Directors of 2002.” While at Curious Pictures in NYC, he created spots and motion graphics  for  ABC Sports Superbowl XXXVII . His work (10 two-minute spots) for Lavazza Coffee in Torino Italy, was awarded two Golden Art Director awards at ADCI (Art Director’s Club Italiano) in 2006.  In 2014, he consulted, directed and created the look for Wegman’s Supermarkets cooking videos marketing project “Menu in Motion.” David is currently working directly with Michelin starred world class Chef David Bouley creating cooking technique and “Mise En Place Building Blocks” videos for healthy cuisine, and the "Living Pantry."

Currently collaborating with BMW North America on numerous driving machine marketing brand cinematography, motion graphics, live action film projects. David scored and produced the music and sound design for MTV’s on air package for 2 consecutive years, and scored music for multiple BMW film projects. David in collaboration with Roger Wasson, released two albums and 11 singles for bands “Clergy of the Impossible” "Snifter" and “DC-6.” And are currently in co-production with John Atwood on a new all electronic project for release in early 2019.
